MSS Consulting have reported a dramatic increase in sales figures during this financial year so far.
Business Development responsibilities for MSS Consulting have been absorbed by Amy Harris, who combines this alongside her existing role as Quality Manager.
Amy updates us, "We agreed ambitious budgets for the financial year 2007-2008, as I believe that MSS Consulting has the skills and capabilities to really make a name for itself. The initial focus was on ensuring that as consultant's time is rechargeable, time within the team was used in the most cost effective way. I met with clients to ensure we were providing value for money and used this feedback to review our rates. A good reputation for reliability and high quality, opened doors to new clients and our increased volume of work justified increasing our team by five members, taking the total to twelve."
MSS Consulting’s sales figures have increased dramatically, to the extent that in August 2007 our sales and work in progress figure combined, doubled that of our best month ever in the previous financial year. With the asbestos industry classically seasonal, with great summers and quiet winters, our biggest challenge will now be to maintain our current work levels and profitability over the winter.
Amy continues, "Looking to the future, we intend to diversify and expand the services we offer to ensure sustainable growth. We are already offering COSHH assessments as an additional consultancy service, and will be in a position to offer a new service, noise monitoring, in 2008. We have listened to the needs of our customers and anticipate that with the large amount of demolition and construction work ongoing in Cardiff Bay, the demand for noise assessments will be great. This will be good news for everyone; as many of our consultants are qualified in environmental and scientific disciplines, there are great opportunities for career development."
