Our insulation teams were commissioned by our steel manufacturing client to undertake work on transition ducting to enable mechanical works to be undertaken during a shutdown period. This was to enable mechanical maintenance works. We identified several leaks in the steel casing casings and were able to insulate all 8 ducts applying 100mm thick wired back mattress 128 K/g density fixing the insulation using the method of pins and speedos, which secures the insulation to the ducting. Once the ducts were insulated our teams fabricated and installed 0.9 gauge Aluzinc sheeting to protect the insulation material. The project was completed in good time, with commendation from our client on the cleanliness of the work area and quality of workmanship.
