Hydrock had been employed to decontaminate a brownfield site in Rugby which was to be developed. Asbestos had been identified, the likely cause of which was historic demolition of buildings on-site.
To ensure the highest quality, monthly fiber quality checks are carried out and the participation of the Regular Inter-laboratory Counting Exchange scheme is partaken quarterly. The analysts carry out monthly re-checks on operational slides, including all clearance slides then 1 in 20 for all other slides.
As Hydrock’s independent asbestos consulting partner, MSS were brought into the project to provide personal and reassurance air tests during ground-works.
Whilst the weather was dry, to prevent the dust spreading, bowsers with fans sprayed water. Covers were built to protect the pumps from rain.
