Key Account Manager

Location: Deeside and Bolton area
Salary: £30k - £35k depending on experience

Location: Deeside CH52NU (4days) Bolton BL6 6JL & Ramsbottom BL0 0NH (1Day)

 Department within MSS: Facilities Services

You will be responsible for the delivery of service contracts and associated contractual obligations ensuring quality that is on-time and cost effective. You will also manage the existing chargehands to help them support their teams.

You will have a site base for 4 days a week with the 5th day supporting other MSS contracts.


  • To deliver contractual obligations in accordance with Client expectations
  • Full budget management and control for contract operational expenditure
  • Requests for non contract/ Ad Hoc jobs are assessed and quoted accurately, ensuring profitability and safety elements are covered
  • Manage the Health and safety at site ensuring specific risk assessments and method statements are established prior to commencing any service delivery tasks
  • Ensure any hazardous substances used in relation to any service, are stored, transported, handled, and used in accordance with both the manufacturer’s instructions and the relevant COSHH assessment
  • Ensure all plant and equipment used to deliver the service is sufficient, fit for purpose and that the operator is trained and competent to use it
  • Allocate operational resource as required to meet the contract
  • Management of consumables, ordering and liaising with finance for payment
  • Management of basic employment relations issues including timesheets and liaison with payroll
  • Maximising outputs from available resources
  • Monitoring performance through robust auditing
  • Ensure relevant training is carried out with all employees
  • Attend regular meeting with the client to discuss contract obligations
  • Establish relationships with the key stakeholders, both with the client and MSS

  • Issue resolution in a Professional manner
  • Extensive Contract Delivery industry experience relevant to the role
  • Successful contract delivery
  • Good communication skills
  • Commercial costing and pricing experience
  • Competence in budgetary control and reporting
  • Systematic record keeping and attention to detail
  • Maximising outputs from available resources
  • Full UK Driving License
