Waste Management Projects
100% less waste to landfill achieved at Dow
Dow have been developing and producing silicones since 1943. The 160 acre site in South Wales, has been in operation since 1952 and following various acquisitions and mergers is now Dow's biggest European plant.
In our role as waste managers for Dow, MSS's main objective is to reduce waste disposal to landfill by using routes through recycling, energy from waste and recovery, and to ensure that our client meets compliance with waste regulations and site permits.
Our service is based on the guarantee that the cost of the service will reduce waste to landfill as much as practicable, with year-on-year savings delivered through a constant focus on innovation and cost reduction. In fact, since 2015 MSS has reduced waste to landfill from 30%-1%, with the 1% being redirected to "energy from waste".
